WOMEN

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

Proverbs 31:25

We are excited to welcome you to FSBC's Ministry to Women and to share with you our vision. We believe it is biblical for women to worship corporately, grow spiritually, connect relationally, serve collectively, and reach unbelievers. There is a place for you at our fellowship table - regardless of your age, life-stage, race, or marital status. Everything we do is intended for intergenerational connection, 7th Graders - Senior Adults. It is our hope that each lady might join us – to become women of prayer, women of the Word, and women who live life together so that we might reach our community and the next generation for Jesus Christ.

Prayer Team

We would love to have you join the Ministry to Women’s Prayer Team by either joining our texting prayer chain or using the monthly Prayer Guide. For more information, go to www.fsbcfamily.com/prayerteam.

Ladies Bible Studies

Get Connected. Go Deeper.

We hope you will join us for one of our ongoing ladies Bible Studies or our weekly prayer time. Each of these groups help us connect with other women and challenge us to grow spiritually. There are four weekly small group Bible study options for women who wish to delve deeper into Scripture and build inter-generational relationships.

Sunday Mornings

9:00am - 10:00am weekly

This is an engaging class of adult ladies who meet weekly to study topics in God's word. Please contact Lori at lorijom@att.net with questions.

Sunday Afternoons

3:30pm - 5:30pm weekly

Join us in studying Lisa Harper's study called Luke: Gut-Level Compassion. The Sunday Afternoon Ladies Bible study will meet 3:30-5:30pm on Sundays from August 25-October 13 in the church library. In this 8-week book and video study, we will see that the great news woven throughout the Gospel according to Luke is that perfection is not a prerequisite for a deep and personal relationship with Jesus. The books cost $17 each, scholarships are available. Please contact Sandra at sdrake@ku.edu with questions.

Tuesday Mornings

9:00am - 11:00am weekly

Join us for an in-depth look at the book of Ruth and how it points to the gospel. The Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible study will meet 9:00-11:00am on Tuesdays from August 20-September 10 in the church library. In this 4-week book study, we will study how God is working behind the scenes in ways that we could never imagine to sovereignly and providentially bring about His good plan for His people. The books cost $10 each. We hope to offer childcare during the Bible Study. Contact Stephanie at stephanie@fsbcfamily.com with questions.

Thursday Evenings

6:30pm - 8:00pm weekly

Join us for a weekly Bible Study called Desperate for Hope: Questions We Ask God In Suffering, Loss, and Longing by Vaneetha Risner. The Thursday evening Bible study will meet from 6:30-8:00pm starting on August 22 in Zoom. This study considers different women in the Bible who suffered loss and examines the character, goodness, and sovereignty of God revealed in these stories. The books cost $20 each, but scholarships are available.Contact Rhonda at discipleship@fsbcfamily.com with questions.

Who We Are

The Ministry to Women of FSBC Lawrence exists to serve and to connect women of all ages and backgrounds. We focus on shepherding women grade 7–senior adults.

What We Do

We meet for weekly Bible studies and prayer team. We offer quarterly gatherings that mix times of laughter, corporate worship, and spiritual growth. We also organize trips to annual conferences and workshops.

What's Different

Our Ministry to Women cherishes people over programs. We seek to build sisterhood rather than merely filling our social calendars. Special care is given to cultivate intergenerational-relationships in everything we do.
