About Baptism
Baptism isn’t required for salvation, but it is the first step of obedience for those who have placed their faith in Jesus. The water itself doesn’t save anyone—only Jesus does that. Baptism is a beautiful and powerful symbol of the inward transformation that has already happened in a believer’s heart through faith in Christ.
It’s a public declaration of your new life in Jesus. Baptism illustrates Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3–4), and it shows that you have died to sin and been raised to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:3–4). We also follow Jesus’ example—He was baptized (Mark 1:9), and He commanded His followers to baptize others (Matthew 28:19–20).
At Long Hollow, we baptize by immersion. This method reflects the biblical pattern we see in Scripture and the meaning of the word "baptize," which literally means to immerse or dip under water.
You can be baptized during any of our worship services. Just fill out the form below and let us know when you're ready. Someone from our team will follow up with all the details.
